The first course on your journey into tech starts with their Intro to Digital course:
- Learn practical skills: AI, coding, websites, and more.
- Get 1:1 support from tech professionals.
- Attend in-person workshops on Saturdays.

No experience needed, self-paced and can be completed online. Completing this course gives you access to CodeYourFuture's more advanced programming training, with extra financial support - for childcare, transport to class and more.
All our courses are free. You must be over 18, on a low income, have reasonable English and have access to a computer.
The majority of CodeYourFuture graduates go on to secure tech jobs - in roles like software development, business analysis, and cloud engineering - at companies including Google, the BBC, Capgemini, and Slack. And it all started with the Intro to Digital course.

CodeYourFuture: Free training and support to get a job in tech
CodeYourFuture (CYF) is a nonprofit offering free tech training and job support to adults on a low income. If you're curious about a career in tech, CodeYourFuture could be the right place for you.
The majority of CYF graduates secure tech jobs at companies such as Google, Slack, Capgemini, and the BBC - in roles including software development, cloud engineering, and business analysis.
Your first step into tech: The Intro to Digital course
The next free Intro to Digital course opens on April 1st. This course is designed as your first step into a tech career.
- No experience is needed to join.
- You must be over 18, on a low income, and have an intermediate level of English.
About the Intro to Digital course
The Intro to Digital course covers practical tech skills, including GenAI, data analysis, coding, and deploying websites - with 1:1 support from industry professionals.
Intro to Digital is an online course that takes approximately 20–40 hours to complete and requires access to a computer.
We recommend attending in-person or online workshops to get extra help and connect with the CYF community of trainees and trainers.
Completing Intro to Digital is your application to the next stage: Intro to Programming.
Extra support and registration info
All CYF courses are completely free, and we're committed to supporting you until you find a job in tech. From Intro to Programming onwards, CYF also provides support for travel costs, childcare, internet access, and you can apply for a laptop loan.
CYF doesn't offer formal certifications - the tech industry values demonstrated ability. At CYF, we help you build the skills that get you through job interviews and into thriving careers.
