ROLE SPECIFICS

  • Hours: Approximately 20 hours per month for 8 months.
  • Salary: £30 per hour

  • Reporting to: CEO, Director of Education, and Director of Outreach.

Why is this role open?

To bring in an AI-native specialist who can scale high-quality content production efficiently using modern AI tools, while the existing team focuses on core technology, education, and outreach activities in a fast-growing sector.

Role Overview

An AI-native copywriter and strategist responsible for creating high-volume, high-quality written content and managing social media growth

What are your main responsibilities?

  • Content Creation: Produce 15–20 high-quality posts per month, along with 2-4 blogs per month for the CEO, Director of Education, and Director of Outreach.
  • Platform Management: Draft and post content across LinkedIn (priority), Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter.
  • Asset Planning: Create scripts and briefs for video recordings; design LinkedIn stories and carousel concepts.
  • Performance & Growth: Measure post impact (engagement, followers, leads) and iterate on strategy to increase comments and reposts.
  • Oversight: (Optional/Preferred) Oversee the video production side to ensure the work meets strategic goals and the brand voice is consistent.

What technical skills do we expect you to have?

  • AI Native: Must be highly efficient using AI tools to maintain quality while producing high volumes of content.
  • Industry Knowledge: A good understanding of the technology sector is essential.
  • Copywriting: Exceptional storytelling skills specifically for senior corporate leader audiences.

About Code Your Future

Code Your Future trains dedicated people in poverty to change their lives by getting good jobs in the software industry. We have helped over 300 people get jobs so far, including at companies like Google, Slack, HashiCorp, Thoughtworks, and Capgemini. All of our education is free, and we cover expenses like childcare and transportation to support people in need.

We teach part-time courses using a flipped classroom style - assigning our trainees material to learn and exercises and projects to work on. We meet in-person once a week on Saturdays, and host mentoring sessions in the week, to help people with their learning. Our teaching and mentoring is primarily delivered by volunteers with a diverse set of backgrounds and skills, and our curriculum is all open source.
