Code Your Future (CYF) is a UK-based non-profit organisation that trains some of the most deprived members of society to become software developers and start careers in the tech industry.

CYF is looking for an experienced Finance Director to support the organisation on a pro-bono basis, for 5h-10h/month, with an immediate start. 

The goal of this role is to provide accounting and finance strategy advice to CYF Strategy and Finance teams. This will include reviewing finance processes to ensure effective operations and the best use of the charity’s resources. 

You will use your charity financial knowledge and experience to:

• Review financial information and assist with strategic financial decisions
• Support and guide the Finance Manager with complex financial matters 
• Assist the Strategy Team in achieving the charity’s financial targets,
• Provide oversight of the annual audited accounts process.

Key requirements:

• 10+ years of progressive experience in finance roles and relevant experience in charity finances
• Strong understanding of industry trends and best practices
• Experience working with C-level executives and boards of directors
• Desirable: advanced degree in finance, accounting, or business administration (MBA or similar) and Professional certifications like CPA, CFA, or ACCA
