ROLE SPECIFICS

  • Hours: Part-time job: 16-20 hours per week.
  • Salary: £20/hour + up to £25,000 bonus for reaching fundraising targets.
  • Contract: 6 months contract with the possibility of extending for another 6 months (in the first 3 months, 2 days a week, after the 3rd month it will be discussed to turn it in 3-time a week role).
  • Work model: Remote with occasional in-person meetings.
  • Reporting to: CEO.
  • Start date: Start date: July 1st, 2025.

We’re looking for a Partnership Manager to help deliver our Fundraising and Partnerships Strategy, contributing to raising £1m for the next year. They will work closely with our Fundraising Committee, community and teams to understand funding needs, develop compelling cases for support, and ensure partnership activities are well-integrated and supported.

Code Your Future trains dedicated people in poverty to change their lives by getting good jobs in the software industry. We have helped over 300 people get jobs so far, including at companies like Google, Slack, HashiCorp, Thoughtworks, and Capgemini. All of our education is free, and we cover expenses like childcare and transportation to support people in need.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy: 

  • Implement our Fundraising & Partnership Strategy: execute a strategy to identify and engage and secure potential partners (corporates, foundations, and major donors)
  • Research and identify potential partners: research and identify potential corporate partners whose values and goals align with CodeYourFuture
  • Pipeline management: Build and manage a pipeline of potential and existing partners, tracking interactions, progress, and likelihood of engagement.

Relationship Building and Management:

  • Cultivation and Networking: build and nurture relationships with key contacts within potential and existing partner organisations. Attend networking events and represent CYF in events and meetings when needed.
  • Pitching and Proposal Development: create compelling and tailored proposals, presentations, and applications to potential partners, articulating our impact and the mutual benefits of partnership.
  • Negotiation and Agreement: negotiate partnership terms and agreements, ensuring they are beneficial for the CYF and comply with legal and ethical fundraising standards.
  • Stewardship and Account Management: Provide excellent ongoing support and stewardship to existing partners to ensure their continued engagement, satisfaction, and retention. This includes regular communication, providing updates on impact, and identifying opportunities to deepen the relationship.
  • Employee Engagement (for corporate partners): Develop and manage employee engagement opportunities such as corporate volunteering

Income Generation and Fundraising:

  • Achieve Fundraising Targets: work with the CEO towards agreed income targets from various partnership tiers
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets related to partnership activities, ensuring a good return on investment.

Reporting and Evaluation

  • Track and report on partnership activities, income, and impact to internal stakeholders (including the leadership team and board) and to partners themselves. Evaluate the success of partnerships and make recommendations for improvement.

Database Management

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all partnership interactions, agreements, and income in our CRM system.

What you should bring to this role:

  • Experience: proven track record in partnership development, fundraising, and account management. 
  • Skills: excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, relationship-building, strategic thinking, project management, written skills
  • Knowledge: understanding of the charity sector, fundraising principles, CRM systems

  2. Our team will get back to you by June 17th. Successful candidates will be invited to join a 45-minute conversation with the CEO and Chief Strategy Officer on the week of June 17th and June 23rd
  3. The successful candidate will be communicated by June 25th, and invited to start a 2-week trial. 
  4. If accepted, the successful candidate will freelance for a 2-week period delivering some key tasks, before officially starting as a contractor
