Help us tell our story and help our students

Are you a creative producer of some kind - blogger, photographer, videographer, with an interest in telling stories for social good? Do you like working with awesome people? If you have a few hours per week to help grow an incredible community, please apply here!

About us:

Code Your Future is a young non-profit - a lot like a start up: supporting refugees and local disadvantaged people with the dream of becoming developers. We help people code, help them with communication and confidence (a crucial element) and then we help them get jobs. In 2016 we launched the first cohort of our 8-month web development programme, coached by a group of professional developers. Today we are setting up our sixth class in London !

Our next classes are planned for November and currently we're looking for a few volunteers (from all skills levels) for our outreach team to help us run and grow our organisation.

About the role:

As a Volunteer you will be part of our lovely, welcoming Outreach team and work with people from different backgrounds.

The main responsibilities include;

  • attracting students (source a diverse set of qualified applicants for classes) via NGOs, Facebook groups; other communities
  • attracting volunteers (leadership positions through to supporters) and partners (NGOs for student referrals, corporates for fundraising, recruitment and other support).
  • managing or contributing to social media channels and developing volunteer and student activities linked with our influencing and campaigning strategy
  • creating the media to drive engagement - taking photos, writing blogs, creating short videos.

This is a volunteer, unpaid role but as a result there are no strict hours and it is flexible. You can gain real experience to add to your CV and contribute to a good cause while doing so.

Previous volunteers at Code Your Future have developed their skills, learnt valuable new ones, and made wonderful friends along the way.

To apply:

We value diversity, promote equality and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds. If this sounds like the opportunity for you, please apply here: https://forms.codeyourfuture.io/
